Venture Financing of Crypto Startups Continues to Grow
Venture financing of crypto startups demonstrates significant growth, exceeding the $1 billion mark for two consecutive months. According to the results of April 2024, the total investment volume reached $1.02 billion, which is only slightly less than the record set in March, when startups raised $1.09 billion.
Data from RootData shows that in April, there were 161 investment rounds, compared to 186 in March. Among the largest deals of the month were investments in the blockchain platform Monad, which attracted $255 million with participation from Paradigm and Coinbase Ventures. Another significant event was a $47 million round for the asset tokenization platform Securitize, led by BlackRock.
Analysts at Galaxy Research also noted a significant increase in venture financing in the first quarter of 2024. During this period, $2.49 billion was raised in 603 rounds, which is 29% higher in volume and 68% higher in the number of deals compared to the previous quarter.
Thus, the trend towards the recovery of the venture financing market for crypto startups continues, indicating positive changes in the sector and investor confidence in its future. Forecasts suggest that the growth may be confirmed in the following quarters if the trend persists.
