CertiK Releases Updated Security Ratings for Cryptocurrency Wallets
CertiK, a company known for its research in blockchain security, has updated its security rating of cryptocurrency wallets. The rating includes 42 wallets evaluated based on four key parameters: cyber security, wallet’s basic and operational parameters, as well as community development level. Wallets that score over 85 out of 100 receive an AA rating.
As of May 30, 2024, the top 3 safest cryptocurrency wallets according to CertiK are Metamask, OKX Web3 Wallet, and Bitget Wallet. Trust Wallet has also been awarded an AA rating. CertiK conducts a thorough security analysis of wallets, scanning web platforms and checking aspects such as network and application security, as well as DNS functionality.
CertiK analysts study the history and origin of each wallet, including creation date, operating region, customer support quality, and mobile app ratings. This process helps determine the overall security and reliability of the wallet.
The CertiK service was launched last fall and regularly updates its ratings to provide users with up-to-date information on cryptocurrency wallet security. Recently, Bitget Wallet, which received a high score in the new rating, announced the launch of the Onchain Layer and a $10 million BWB ecosystem fund, as well as plans to release its own token on the Bitget Launchpad.
The updated ratings will help users make informed choices based on the reliability and security of cryptocurrency wallets, which is especially important in the rapidly evolving world of digital assets.
