Ledger company has launched its latest innovation in cryptocurrency storage — Ledger Stax. These hardware wallets are designed to provide secure storage for digital assets and cryptocurrencies. The project, which began in December 2022 in collaboration with Tony Fadell, the creator of the iPod, has finally come to fruition.
Originally scheduled for release in March 2023, Ledger Stax faced production challenges that led to multiple delays. However, on May 27, 2024, Ledger company announced the shipment of the first batch of pre-ordered wallets. Customers who pre-ordered last year have already received tracking information via email.
Ledger Stax is not yet available for purchase on the official website. The company plans to make it available for sale once all pre-ordered devices have been shipped. The wallets come with innovative features including a curved touch screen, developed by Fadell using organic materials on a plastic substrate. This screen ensures high security and supports various digital assets and NFTs. Additionally, Ledger Stax includes a Secure Element protective chip for added user data protection.
