Miner Earns Over $200,000 with Bitaxe Equipment

According to Altair Technology, a lone miner was able to earn over $200,000 for mining a Bitcoin block using Bitaxe equipment from D-Central Technologies. The device, with a power of 500 GH/s and utilizing the Antminer S21 chip, is designed for solo mining. Despite its relatively modest technical specifications, this equipment is connected to the Solo CKPool mining pool.

Impressive Solo Mining Results

The solo miner mined the 290th Bitcoin block with the device, which has a hash rate of around 500 GH and an energy efficiency of 18 J/TH. Solo CKPool experts, including analyst Kona Kolivas, explain that the chances of mining a block with a hash rate of 3 TH/s are approximately 1 in 1.2 million per day. According to their data, the miner started working about nineteen days ago and has increased their hash rate in the last twenty-four hours. Kolivas speculates that multiple Bitaxe devices could have been used to achieve this result, but each one costs only $179 in the US.

Impressive Power of Solo Mining

The Solo CKPool pool congratulated the miner on this achievement, noting that with such power, the probability of finding a block is once every 3,500 years. This news highlights that even with relatively simple equipment, solo miners can achieve impressive results.
