Stephen Nerayoff Files Lawsuit Against Tyler Faarda
Stephen Nerayoff, a former advisor to Ethereum, has filed a lawsuit against Tyler Faarda, a well-known crypto analyst and founder of Truth Labs, accusing him of defamation and damage to reputation. Nerayoff is seeking compensation in the amount of $10 million for the moral and financial harm caused to him.
In his lawsuit, Nerayoff claims that Faarda has repeatedly posted false and derogatory accusations against him on social media, including allegations of criminal activity and fraud. Nerayoff also alleges that Faarda portrayed him as a secret agent, supposedly acting on behalf of the government and conducting a psychological operation against him.
According to Nerayoff, these accusations have led to significant emotional, mental, and economic harm. He states that Faarda’s actions have not only undermined his reputation, but also caused financial damage.
Interestingly, before the conflict between them arose, Nerayoff and Faarda worked together in the investigation of allegations against Nerayoff related to fraud in conducting the ICO Storm X. In 2019, Nerayoff was arrested on these charges, but in May 2023, all charges were dropped. Nerayoff’s defense argued that the accusations were baseless and had no legal merit.
This lawsuit reflects deep disagreements between Nerayoff and Faarda, casting doubt not only on the reputation of both parties, but also on their professional relationship.
